Test & Measurement Equipment » Portable Data Acquisition
The ITL lab houses a diverse array of modular, configurable, programmable data acquisition systems. These technologies can be configured with various I/O and form factors to suit most projects. The following systems are available to students, with priority for undergraduate design and independent study projects.
CompactDAQ
CompactDAQ systems provide modular I/O for almost any test, measurement, and control project.
CompactRIO
A stand-alone, embedded (no laptop necessary) version of the CompactDAQ system with built in FPGA for high speed data processing.
USB-6008 and 6009
Inexpensive USB data acquisition cards for very basic measurement and control applications.
DAQCard 6062E PCMCIA
This data acquisition card requires a laptop PCMCIA slot and provides the highest speed data rates (500 kS/s) of our data acquisition systems.
Vision Systems
Use a firewire camera and laptop computer to acquire and analyze images. “Smart cameras,” which contain a camera and embedded computer, are also available.
ARM Microcontrollers
LabVIEW-programmable microcontroller boards for portable, miniaturized measurement and control systems.
