Test & Measurement Equipment » LabStations
The ITL LabStation is a custom-designed test, measurement, and data acquisition powerhouse that provides students with the space and equipment needed to complete projects. Each LabStation provides a computer with 24-in monitor and a diverse set of engineering applications chosen explicitly by university students and professors.
Stations are equipped with standard electronics test equipment, such as an oscilloscope, function generator, and multimeter, as well as a custom-designed data acquisition system for creating software-based measurement and control systems. Custom-designed I/O panels and military connectors enable users to connect to experiments and equipment quickly and easily.
Electronics Test Equipment:
- Tektronix DPO3012 Oscilloscope: 2 Channel, 100 MHz Oscilloscope

- Hewlett Packard 33120A Function Generator: 15 MHz Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator
- Hewlett Packard 34401A Multimeter
National Instruments Data Acquisition System:
- PCI-6040E (formerly known as PCI-MIO-16E-4) Data Acquisition Card
- SCXI-1121 Signal Conditioning Module
- SCXI-1122 Signal Conditioning Module
- SCXI-1141 Low Pass Filter Module
- SCXI-1124 Digital to Analog Converter Module
- SCXI-1126 Frequency Input Module
- SCXI-1140 Simultaneous Sampling Module
Projects Using a LabStation:
See the ITLL Experiment Directory for examples of what can be done with the ITL LabStation. Many of these experiments use the LabStation to measure signals and control actuators. Other examples of LabStation projects:
- Build customized control systems, such as a liquid-level systems, inverted pendulums, or a temperature-control unit
- Analyze analog-circuit behavior, such as frequency and phase response
- Validate the performance of a design using sensors and custom-built data acquisition software
