Electronics Center » Safety Rules

All students must abide by the Electronics Center rules when utilizing its resources. Students may be asked to leave the Electronics Center for non-compliance with any of the rules.

Wear safety glasses

Safety glasses/goggles must be worn when using:

  • Soldering equipment
  • Sheet metal shear/break/roller
  • Dremmel drill

A limited supply of safety glasses are available to borrow for use in the Electronics Center.

Use the countertop filter

Remember to use the countertop filter to draw away soldering gas, which can irritate eyes and damage contact lenses.

Please return tools and parts

Please return any wires, tools, parts, etc., to their proper "home" in the Electronic Center.
This makes them easy-to-find for the next user (which might be you!).
