Manufacturing Center

Welcome to the Manufacturing Center The Manufacturing Center features both conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) fabricating equipment and resources, and hands-on instruction. The shop is for engineering students only with priority to GEEN 1400 and 3400 project courses. The shop is located in the lowest level of the ITL Laboratory, rooms ITLL 2B40 and 2B50.
- To use the Manufacturing Center, complete a one-hour introductory safety certification workshop . After this, you may take additional workshops to learn how to use specific equipment and tools.
- Sign-up for all Manufacturing Center workshops on the bulletin board in the hallway by its main entrance door.
- Make sure you also take a 30-minute ITL orientation to obtain an ITL computer password and door access PIN. Sign-up for this in the ITL administrative office (room ITLL 1B40).
- Use the equipment locator map to learn about the machinery and tools.
- Make sure to read the safety contract and follow the safety rules .
- Additional equipment may be found in the ProtoShack , Mat-TestShack and MediaShack .
- Hours of operation for the ITL Laboratory and the Manufacturing Center.
- CAD Information (SolidWorks, I-DEAS conversion to DXF, etc.)
